Our family has proudly called the Kittitas Valley home for more than 50 years. After spending 25 wonderful years serving the Ellensburg community at Rodeo City BBQ on North Main Street, we made the decision to retire from the restaurant business. During those years, we had the privilege of catering countless weddings, celebrations, and large gatherings—an experience that sparked a new dream.

For Leann, owner of Sweetwater Ranch, catering weddings was always more than just a job. She loved being part of life's biggest celebrations and found herself constantly imagining new ideas, creative spaces, and unforgettable experiences for couples and their families. With the encouragement and support of her parents and family, she began searching for the perfect property to bring that vision to life.

In July 2018, we found exactly what we had been dreaming of. The property, previously owned by two Seattle-area doctors who used it as a private retreat for family and friends, became ours on October 1, 2018. That day marked the beginning of Sweetwater Ranch Event Venue.

The journey was just beginning. The first few years were spent dreaming, designing, and navigating the permitting process. Construction officially began in 2020. While the COVID-19 pandemic brought challenges to so many, it also gave us the opportunity to dedicate our time, energy, and hearts to building Sweetwater Ranch.

In 2021, we celebrated our very first wedding in our newly completed venue. Since then, every season has brought new blessings, meaningful memories, and exciting improvements that continue to make Sweetwater Ranch a place where love stories come to life.

Today, Sweetwater Ranch is truly our little piece of heaven on earth. We are honored to welcome families from near and far to celebrate some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. As a family-owned and operated business, we take great pride in every wedding and event we host. From the carefully maintained grounds to the smallest thoughtful details, everything has been created with love.
